PROJECT

T2CM is a solution that extracts value from mine tailings, by recovering elements of value and water, and converting the rest into construction materials for sustainable infrastructure. T2CM is designed to adapt to the variability in the tailings, making it applicable to anymining operation.

T2CM is by design adaptable to the variability in the tailings, making it applicable to any mining operation

T2CM develops complementary processes to the mining operation, without altering its current configuration and operation.

The core aspect of T2CM is the integration of technologies to transform the tailings into safe and sustainable construction materials.

The proposal aims not only to add technologies, but also to adjust them to optimize the overall performance of the system, taking advantage of previous University R&D projects in slags, tailings and circular economy.

Social value & Sustainability

The driving force of T2CM is sustainability; starting with the environmental aspects.

Waste management

Little to no waste by allocating residues to other industries.

Environmental & social impact

Reduction of environmental liabilities due to dams.

Lower CO2-footprint construction materials (gravel and cement)

Community management

Early involvement in the community, by communicating true aim.

Social value

Shared value and new jobs in the construction/operation of facilities.
